About the panelists…
Bob Ochieng, ICANN
Bob is a telecommunications engineer with over 15 years of experience in the multi-disciplinary Telecoms/ICT/DNS industry with skills and strengths in Internet Public Policy development, Government Engagement as well as Project and Operations Management. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Technology, an MBA in Strategic Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA). As the primary representative of ICANN in Eastern and Southern Africa, Bob supports Engagement activities in the region.

Dr. Ajay Data
Dr. Data is Managing Director of Data Group of Industries with an annual business turnover of approx US $200 Million and sought after speaker and leader by young entrepreneurs for mentoring and guidance. Recently Govt. of Rajasthan also started linguistic email services to every citizen on the innovation and technology built under his leadership and guidance. Along with his wide ranging experience in these organizations, he is also leading the ICANN’s Neo Brahmi General Panel for generating LGR’s , EAI Coordinator in Universal Acceptance Group, Member of ISPCP Constituency and Expert Panel of RZ-LGR Application.

Maria Kolesnikova
Maria Kolesnikova has been working for Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ as a head of marketing, external relations and projects since 2007. Maria has a wide range of experience in information technologies, communications and marketing.
Since 2007 Maria has been involved in IDN/UA Programs. She participated in Fast Track Process for delegation of Cyrillic ccTLD .РФ in 2008-2009. In 2012-2013 she worked on applications and delegation of several New gTLDs during the first round of ICANN New gTLD Program. At the moment she is a Chair of UA Communications Working Group at UASG (for 2021 period) and a Chair of CIS-EE UA Local Initiative since 2019.
Maria has been a speaker/presenter at numerous conferences, including ICANN meetings, CENTR and APTLD workshops, regional and global IGF forums, Eastern European DNS Forum, Eurasia Network Operators’ Group conferences, TLDCON, etc. She has also managed various regional and local industry and Internet Governance events in Russia and Eastern Europe.
Yaovi Atohoun
Yaovi is an electrical engineer with more than 30 years’ work experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). He has worked for the Association of African Universities (AAU) as Senior IT Officer from 2008 to 2012. He has coordinated many activities for the USAID/Leland Initiative (an Internet Development Project) in Africa from 1997 to 2004. From 1992 to 1997 he worked as a consultant to computerize the News Agency in West African countries for the WANAD/UNESCO project. He was involved in many community activities as a volunteer for AfriNIC, AFNOG, the ICANN At-Large Advisory committee and the ICANN nomination committee.
